Hi, I am new to this and really very nervous. I am a single mother with 8 children (4 Boys/4 Girls) and I am having the worst luck this new year. Well I Lost my job in January and now I am having trouble paying my Rent I am soon to be Put out of my apartment if I don't come up with my rent which is only 415 a month. I got my eviction notice today and they are giving me 5 days from the date of the notice to come up with my rent or vacant their lil 1 bedroom apartment (yes me and my 8 children only have a one bedroom) I mean that is all i could afford to pay at the time and i lied and told them i only have 2 kids. Now my lieing has finally caught up with me. I was denied TANF but I do recieve foodstamps which i wish i can pay my rent with those. Basically I am asking if anyone knows of places that can help me out with paying rent or moving somewhere else that is willing to work with me untill i get on my feet? I promised my kids we will not go back into another shelter because we have already been in 3 shelters here in houston already (Star of Hope, The Mission of Yahwee and The Salvation Army).
